I didn’t have many expectations for Canada’s capitol city, but the “pretty” caught me off guard.

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of pretty cities out there, but I think the true test of a city’s allure comes out when the lights go down.

Lucky for Ottawa, it’s situated on several bodies of water including the Ottawa River, Rideau Canal and Dow’s Lake.

I was pleasantly surprised by the how vibrant the city was at night and think that it more than passes as a city with nighttime swag. Well done Canada.
